Vascular Surgery Patient Success Story: Carl Adams
Last November 2010 Carl Adams was flown to the University of Maryland Medical Center after being diagnosed with an aortic dissection, a potentially life-threatening condition in which a tear causes bleeding in the inner wall of the aorta. After arriving at the Medical Center, Carl went into renal failure. Dr. Robert Crawford performed a thoracic stent graft and renal stents and six months later, Carl was given a clean bill of health.
