Paths to Recovery Literature Review
This report describes a systematic review of the process improvement literature, in and outside the substance abuse field, that hold evidence-based promise for significantly improving the nine Pathways to Recovery as defined by the Network for the Improvement of Addiction Treatment (NIATX). It was commissioned by NIATx and research began in July of 2004.
Multirate Signal Processing
An electrical engineering course on multirate signal processing.
Methods for Voice Conversion
This course explores methods in signal processing to perform voice conversion: producing the words from one speaker in the voice of another. This is the Elec 301 project of Justin Chen, Matthew Hutchinson, Gina Upperman, and Brian VanOsdol.

Observe how fossils can form
This website hosts an animation depicting how cast and mold fossils are preserved in the rock record. Users can play, rewind, fast forward and stop the animation at any point in the formation as well as read captions outlining the process. The animation is part of the Earth Exploration Visualization collection.
Observe an animation showing the formation of an unconformity.
This website hosts an animation depicting the formation of an unconformity in the rock record. Users can play, rewind, fast forward and stop the animation at any point in the formation as well as read detailed text outlining the process. The animation is part of the Earth Exploration Visualization collection.
Waterfall Formation and Nick Point Migration
This site provides a variety of visual resources about waterfalls. Flash animations show how waterfalls, plunge pools and gorges are created by the erosion of underlying rock by flowing water. A QuickTime movie gives examples of large-scale waterfalls from around the world, and an interactive diagram illustrates how falling water is used to generate hydroelectric power. These resources are suitable for integration into lectures, labs, or other activities.
Aerodynamics, Fall 2002
This course extends fluid mechanic concepts from Unified Engineering to the aerodynamic performance of wings and bodies in sub/supersonic regimes. It generally has four components: subsonic potential flows, including source/vortex panel methods; viscous flows, including laminar and turbulent boundary layers; aerodynamics of airfoils and wings, including thin airfoil theory, lifting line theory, and panel method/interacting boundary layer methods; and supersonic and hypersonic airfoil theory. Download the supporting PDF file for this episode http://bit.ly/fhEFBn from the Learning to Teach Online project website.
Discussions are an important component of many forms of online student interaction. For students to benefit from an online discussion, it is important for teachers to generate relevant topics, effectively moderate student activity and participate regularly. This episode will highlight several strategies to help you manage online discussions more effectively, and make them mo
CPCTC
CPCTC is an acronym for corresponding parts of congruent triangles are congruent. CPCTC is commonly used at or near the end of a proof which asks the student to show that two angles or two sides are congruent. It means that once two triangles are proven to be congruent, then the three pairs of sides that correspond must be congruent and the three pairs of angles that correspond must be congruent.
