Lesson 07 - One Minute Romanian
In lesson 7 of One Minute Romanian you will learn to say that it's nice to meet someone in Romanian. Remember - even a few phrases of a language can help you make friends and enjoy travel more. Find out more about One Minute Romanian at our website - http://www.oneminutelanguages.com. One Minute Romanian is brought to you by the Radio Lingua Network and is ©Copyright 2008.Author(s):

Turn Pennies Silver and Gold (Chemistry Trick)
In this video we turn copper pennies into silver and finally to gold. Obviously it's a chemistry trick but still impressive. This would be a fun video to show in chemistry class before doing the experiment or in lieu of if not permissible. (01:48)
Lesson 06 - One Minute Romanian
In lesson 6 of One Minute Romanian you will learn to introduce yourself. Remember - even a few phrases of a language can help you make friends and enjoy travel more. Evolution: It's a Thing - Crash Course Biology #20
Hank gets real with us in a discussion of evolution - it's a thing, not a debate. Gene distribution changes over time, across successive generations, to give rise to diversity at every level of biological organization. (11:44)

10 Conclusion This unit has introduced you to some aspects of using a scientific or graphics calculator. However, in many ways, it has only scratched the surface. Hopefully your calculator will be your friend throughout your study of mathematics and beyond. Like any friend, you will get to know it better and appreciate its advantages as you become more familiar with it. Don't expect to know everything at the beginning. You may find the instruction booklet, or other help facility, a bit hard going to begin
8.2.6 Information The calculator will give you information about any number that you have entered: for example, its square or cube, its square root or cube root. It will also give you information about a whole list of numbers: for example, the mean (average) or the highest value in the list.
References Learning outcomes By the end of this unit you should be able to: understand why systems thinking might be useful and know something about how it can be applied in the context of environmental responsibility; describe the significance of environmental pragmatism and cognitive justice as tools for supporting environmental policy and action. 1 Introductory advice There are two ways to approach this Introduction. The first is the more natural one: to read it straight through to get a general feel for its style and content, and to see whether you are going to find the unit and the issues it raises interesting; in short, to get an overview. There is nothing wrong with this at all. You will find as you read through it, though, that the Introduction covers a wide range of topics. In part this is because the unit authors takes a broad vi Module team Dr Peter Lewis (Chair) Dr George Weidmann (Lecturer in Materials) Dr Bob Dyson (Senior Lecturer, University of North London) Richard Black (Microphotographer) Dr Keith Cavanagh (Editor) Dr Clive Fetter (Editor) Sarah Hofton (Designer) Caryl Hunter-Brown (Technology Librarian) Gordon Imlach (Technician) Mike Levers (Photographer) Laurence Newman (Course Manager) Jennifer Seabrook (Secretary) Ian Spratley (BBC)< 4.3.5 Co-ordination polymerization While most free radical and ionic polymerizations are carried out homogeneously, there is another important class of reaction which is often performed with solid catalysts. These reactions, discovered in the mid-fifties, have revolutionized polymer manufacture by permitting much less severe polymerization conditions than with other systems and by allowing a greater degree of control of polymer structure. Ziegler-Natta catalysts, as they are called, will convert vinyl and diene monomers 4.3.4 Ionic polymerization Free radicals are indiscriminate in the compounds they attack, and their non-selective nature in polymerization reactions leads to problems such as chain branching and transfer which affect the structure of the polymer produced. Anionic polymerization overcomes many of these problems. A typical commercial (but also see Box 8
