Differential Equation Model
This video explains how a function can be modeled using a differential equation if it is growing or shrinking exponentially. In the differential equation model, k is a constant that determines if the function is growing or shrinking. If k is greater than 1, the function is growing. If it is less than 1, the function is shrinking. (2:20)
Differential Equation Model - Problem 1 of 4
This video is a continuation and explains how a function can be modeled using a differential equation if it is growing or shrinking exponentially. The example provided solves a differential equation problem that involves exponential growth. (4:19)
Differential Equation Model - Problem 2 of 4
This video is a continuation and provides another example of solving a differential equation problem related to exponential growth. (3:39)
Chariots for Apollo - A History of Manned Lunar Spacecraft
This site, originally published as part of NASA's History Series, presents a detailed history of the Apollo program. The story begins in the 1950s with early efforts to beat the Soviet Union into space, carries through the Kennedy administration, with its famous challenge to land a man on the moon and return him safely to Earth by the end of the 1960s, and culminates with the landing of Apollo 11 on the Moon in July 1969. The site features text, pictures, references, and several appendices conta

Buruli Ulcer Disease: Intro to the Module
A 36 year old woman living in a Buruli ulcer endemic area develops a painless swelling of his right hand that has been progressing in the last two weeks. A 7 day course of flucloxacillin was prescribed by a doctor, which did not help the situation. When you see her in your clinic, you recognise immediately that she has the oedematous form of Buruli ulcer. A fine needle aspiration (FNA) is performed to obtain a sample for M ulcerans PCR, but the results are not immediately available.
