Martin Sturge talks about Lady Anna Miller of Batheaston. Mr Sturge is deeply involved with the Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institution and sponsored the rebinding of a rare volume of Lady Miller's Poetical Assemblies held in the institution's historic library.
Great White Shark
This 53 minute video shows scientists as they dissect a 15-foot-long great white shark. Comparative anatomist Dr. Joy Reidenberg uncovers the array of senses the shark possesses, including the ability to detect the electro-magnetic field given off by other creatures. The video has vivid images and so a teacher preview is urged.

Antarctic Food Web (Interactive Game)
This interactive game adapted from the Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences challenges players to build a food web, a complex model that shows how various food chains in an ecosystem are connected. Players must position the names of producers and consumers in the correct places in a diagram. The completed diagram reveals how energy flows through an Antarctic ecosystem and the relationships between predators and prey.

Flamingos The Greatest Pink Show on Earth
2:09 Flamingos are gregarious wading birds in the genus Phoenicopterus and family Phoenicopteridae. They are found in both the Western and Eastern Hemispheres, but are more numerous in the latter. There are four species in the Americas while two exist in the Old World. Two species, the Andean and the James's Flamingo, are often placed in the genus Phoenicoparrus instead of Phoenicopterus.
