The Grand Army of the Republic (G.A.R.) was a veterans organization formed in 1866 for soldiers who fought for the North during the American Civil War. This collection contains the microfilmed records of miscellaneous posts in Pennsylvania including the following information: minutes, rosters, personal war sketches, descriptive books, ledgers, and receipt books.
The A.W. Mellon Educational and Charitable Trust operated as a financial supporter of the arts, culture, and education from 1930 to 1980. The collection documents the internal business operations of the Trust and its relation with the organizations, institutions, and programs that it funded.
This collection is composed of Joan Miller's research on the "early historical development" of Hazelwood, Pennsylvania. The collection contains information from United States census, photographs, the 1870 Hazelwood Blue Book, maps, and church and community directories. The collection also contains a large amount of research produced on early computers.
