• Relax upper traps the entire time
• Think about shoulder blades moving down and together while arms go overhead
• Less is more!
Common Errors:
• Athlete shrugs shoulders using upper traps
• Posture is lost

• Keep toes dorsiflexed and head neutral
Coaching:
• Keep back flat and core tight
• Lift opposite arm and opposite leg without letting core move
• Engage glute of lifted leg
Common Errors:
• Posture is lost
• Flexion or extension of lumbar spine
• Head is not neutral
Bridge w/ Leg Lift
Teaching:
• Start in prone position on forearms
• Keep hips off ground head neutral toes dorsiflexed and core tight
Coaching:
• Without moving hips lift one leg by squeezing glute
• Alternate legs
• Keep back flat and core tight
Common Errors:
• Posture is lost
• Hips rotate flex or extend
• Head is not neutral
Bridge to Plank
Teaching:
• Start in prone position with forearms on ground under shoulders
• Keep hips off ground head neutral toes dorsiflexed and core tight
Coaching:
• Walk hands into plank position
• Keep back flat and core tight
• Walk hands back to bridge position and repeat
Common Errors:
• Posture is lost
• Hips rotate
