PSYC 309-01, Human Judgement and Decision-Making, Fall 2004
You will study how people make personality judgments about themselves and others; how people attribute causation to human behavior; and how people make estimates and best guesses about uncertain outcomes. The layperson's intuitions and judgments will be contrasted with normative standards established by scientists, mathematicians, and philosophers. You will learn about 6 classic decision-making paradoxes, and you can participate in 6 class demonstrations where you can earn money (max $30) as wel

Carol Post gives a talk at the RPP08 conference on Src, a mechanism of conformational activation. She covers two topics regarding it Src:
1) Switched electrostatic network
2) long-range coupling of regulatory SH2/SH3 and catalytic domain
Modulation of the Kinase ensemble by Second Messengers
Michael Wall gives a talk at the RPP08 conference on:
1) Small-angle scattering studies of cGMP-dependent protein kinase

3) Diffuse scattering
Free Energy Landscape, Conformational Changes and the Transduction of Biological Signals
Benoit Roux gives a talk at the RPP08 conference about free energy landscape, conformational changes and the transduction of biological signals. He also talks about the multiscale approaches to the activation, inactivation of Src kinases.
Role of conserved non-linear structural motifs in the assembly of active protein kinases
Alexandr Kornev gives a talk at the RPP08 conference that includes:
1) Description of the LSP-alignment
2) Detection of a conserved nonlinear motif in protein kinases
3) Nonlinear motifs termed "spines" anchored to a single helix organize the kinase core.
