The Enemy at Home
In World War 1 nearly 7000 'enemy aliens' of German origin were interned in camps in New South Wales. That experience is now the subject of a UNSW Press book co-authored by Arts academic Gerhard Fischer, and an exhibition running at the Museum of Sydney from May 7-September 11.
Benefits of Electronic Medical Records
Corey Angst, Assistant Professor of Management in the University of Notre Dame's Mendoza College of Business, is expert on health information technology. He conducts research on the transformational effect of IT, technology usage and IT value. He is a proponent of national digitization of health record information and believes electronic medical records (EMRs) would standardize processes, increase efficiencies and greatly diminish the potential for medical errors.

This resource gives an insight into the world of a young person with an Autistic Spectrum disorder (ASD). It concentrates on interaction with Tom, a young person with ASD, within the school environment. The RLO was created by a learning disability nursing student based on his interaction with a number of individuals with ASD. This RLO won the 2009 Fiona Law prize for student-led innovation awarded by the National Network of Learning Disability Nursing.
Structures of the brain
This learning resource allows the learner to label a diagram of the brain and is aimed at identification of the major areas of the brain (cerebrum, cerebellum, medulla, pons, midbrain, thalamus, hyporthalamus and pituitary gland). Once correctly labelled, the learner can access information about these structures.
