Addressing the Challenge of Truly Large Scale Photovoltaics: the Industrial and
Thermodynamic Potentials of Organic Solar Cells
In order for photovoltaic systems to ultimately provide a considerable fraction of the world’s energy needs they will need to meet a number of stringent performance metrics regarding their cost, efficiency, and robustness. In addition, they will need to be manufactured with very high throughput methods in order to realize the enormous production scales required. A s

Why study Rudolf Bultmann?
Rudolf Bultmann (1884-1976) was a German Lutheran theologian whose work highlighted the difficulties of treating early Christian texts as simple historical narratives, while at the same time highlighting their importance as documents of faith. Henri Gagey, from the Institut Catholique in Paris, is an expert on Bultmann’s theology and presents an introduction to it here.

Thomas O’Loughlin, an expert in early Christian theology, discusses the meaning of Easter, which is the greatest of the Christian feasts, its origins, its connections with baptism, and its place in the Christian calendar today.

Woodpeckers may hold key to future road safety
Nov. 7 - Chinese scientists claim to have cracked the secret behind the age-old question of why the woodpecker seems to be headache-proof. The bird gets its name from the way it feeds - violently hammering its beak into the bark of trees in order to extract insects buried inside.
