Dual-phase steel water quenched from 800°C
The steel sample with composition same as above was quenched from 800°C. The microstructure shows higher volume fraction of martensite. The martensite is appearing as the same straw-coloured entities. The straw tint is not influenced either by martensite size or its C-content. The retained austenite is appearing as bright white fine particles associated mostly with martensite.

A topology construction from line drawings using a uniform plane subdivision technique
The paper describes an algorithm for constructing the topology from a set of line segments or polylines. The problem appears for example at land-maps that have been drawnby general-purpose drawing packages or captured from blue-prints by digitalisation. The solution comprises two steps; in the first step inconsistencies in the input data aredetected and removed, and in the second step the topology is constructed. The algorithm for topology construction consists of two phases: determination of a

Investigating the evolution of grain scale microstructure during large plastic deformation of polycr
Polycrystalline deformation and its modeling by currently used crystal plasticity models has been investigated by means of experiments involving direct measurement of deformation induced orientation changes. The experiments used a polycrystalline aluminum sample with columnar grains, whose initial lattice orientations were mapped using the Orientation Imaging Microscopy (OIM) technique. The sample was then deformed under (i) simple compression by 40% along the axis of the columnar grains and (ii

Learning and using requirements representation notations by information technology professionals
This dissertation describes a unified system modeling approach and notation that accommodates the user view and a pilot study of the ability of information technology (IT) professionals to learn and use requirements notations to represent user interface requirements. The study mapped a non-user view requirements notation into a user-view requirements notation. In so doing, it showed that the issues and concerns of non-technical users could be integrated into the overall requirements for a system
