Land of Odysseus
This clip discusses the land of Odyesseus. For centuries scientists have wondered what island Odysesseus, the hero of Homer’s epic poem The Odyssey, calls home. Homer, in his epic poem, describes four islands while scientists have discovered only three. They question themselves on where the fourth one might have come from. (2:40)

In 1988, scientists discovered an ancient ship deep in the Mediterranean Sea. Scientists believe that this ship, which dates back to 500 B.C., may have been sailed by Odysseus, Homer's legendary Greek King. (2:34)
