Place Value and Division Number Families
Students review place value and learn to read and write numbers that
correspond to values such as sixteen tens and seventeen hundreds. They also learn the relationship between multiplication and division by
identifying the two multiplication and two division facts in several
number families.
Short Division
In this video segment, students learn how to do one-step
division problems and write the remainder in the solution. Then, they
learn how to divide a three-digit number by a one-digit number without remainders and discuss what to do when dividing by zero.
Solving Division Problems Using Coins
When working with coins, the value of each coin and the

this knowledge to write number families for several word and coin
