New Chancellor Meets the Press
Chancellor-elect Kumble Subbaswamy made his first visit to campus April 2 after being named the new leader of UMass Amherst. He met with faculty, staff, students, alumni, legislators and local community members, and he also made time to speak with the local media accompanied by UMass President Robert Caret. Subbaswamy will begin his new position July 1.
