The landmark decision by the U.S. Supreme Court in Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka that "separate educational facilities are inherently unequal" was a watershed moment in the civil rights movement, paving the way for integration and the civil rights movement. On November 12, 2013 the Concordia Centraide committee presented a free concert for the community which included singers from the production Town of Mo, a great jazz band and an awesome dance troop. All performers were Concordia students or alumni.
