This package contains the raw data sets that are used in the Biodiversity Simulator (found in the full version of 'Lichen World'), which samples the gravestones by 'throwing' quadrats of different sizes, and which provides data that are used to plot a variety of different species diversity indices and abundance models.
Background information is supplied on the area of Yorkshire and the churchyards where the original study was carried out.

Cavitation is the transition of a fluid into vapour due to local reduction of pressure which is generated by high local flow velocities. The transition of a fluid into vapour also occurs during cooking of water by an increase of the local temperature. The term cavitation is generally reserved for conditions in which the temperature of the bulk fluid is not changed.

This course analyzes the strategies used by Latinos to influence outcomes in the 2008 Elections as well as efforts by candidates, campaigns, and political parties to mobilize Latino voters.
