Using a Mobile Hoist. Part 1. Preparation (Mobile Version)
This and related video clips demonstrate how to use a mobile sling and have been optimised for delivery on a mobile device.
WildLinAlg15: Applications of row reduction (Gaussian elimination)
This lecture shows how the three main problems of Linear Algebra can be tackled using the algorithm of row reduction, also called Gaussian elimination. The three main problems are: how to invert a linear change of coordinates, how to compute the eigenvalues and eigenvectors of a square matrix, and how to compute the determinant of a square matrix. Each problem is illustrated with examples.
This is part of a first course in Linear Algebra given by Assoc Prof N J Wildberger of UNSW.

Practitioner Research in Higher Education: an online source peer reviewed journal
This resource is an online open-access journal. "Practitioner Research in Higher Education" publishes two types of contributions; that is, practitioner research papers and articles that focus on evaluation of practice. It also welcomes contributions in the form of reviews and responses to published articles. The journal's maiden publication was in 2007 and four volumes have been published so far. It is peer-reviewed and the editors are based in the University of Cumbria.

7.1 Overview
Sunset Song was written in the early 1930s and is still one of the best-known and most-debated Scottish novels. In this unit, we discuss whether Sunset Song succeeds as critique of capitalism and whether it has value as a work of literature separate from its propagandistic ambitions.

Lecture 23
This paper analyses the changes which the ICT causes on a global scale. The globalization of higher education triggered by e-Learning,
the emergence of e-infrastructure for e-science, the Open Educational Resources
movement, e-libraries and the tendency of building global educational alliances are analysed as well. Special emphasis is put on several wellknown university models, e.g. Research University, Open University and
Entrepreneurial University, as well as on some emerging university models
This paper reports findings from a survey and interviews with children aged 11–16 years, teachers and parents on their attitudes to e-safety in relation to social networking and media creation (Web 2.0) and their practices at school and at home. The results showed that 74% of the children surveyed have used social network (SN) sites and that a substantial minority regularly interact socially online with people they have not met face-to-face. Online interaction forms a different, although overla
Informatics is currently being taught in high schools all over the world. In the Netherlands, where all students are expected to become computer literate in the lower grades of high school (Hulsen et al., 2005), it has been decided not to consider computer literacy as being part of Informatics. What, then, should be the content of the Informatics curriculum taught in the higher grades? What should be taught, how and to whom? How should students' achievements be assessed? The answers to these que
On basis of a close empirical examination of a Danish team of 'Power Users' and their work on a self-chosen learning challenge this thesis argues how we can theoretically understand, analyse and methodologically approach learning processes through the metaphorical lens of ‘patchworking’.
The metaphor of patchworking highlights how
learning processes can be seen as processes of stitching and weaving together different ‘patches and pieces’ into something new. The patches and pieces may not
