Dr. Elijah Saunders, professor of medicine, graduated from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 1960 and has been practicing at UMMC as a cardiologist for decades. His special interests include treating patients with hypertension, especially African-American patients who are more likely to be at risk for hypertension.
