About 600 students, faculty members and industry representatives turned out for the College of Engineering's third Solar Oven Throw Down. Leading up to the event, students spent classroom time poring over spreadsheets and thermodynamics equations, then designed their best possible solar oven and predicted the temperature it would reach.
