Student Handbook

Welcome to the School of English’s internet courses. As a registered student of the University, you are entitled to all of the benefits and facilities available to all students, as far as is practical within the constraints of physical location. This handbook sets out some details of the School and your access to our web-based facilities. The School web-page, University information and regulations, and library facilities can all be reached through the University website. Much of the course material that you will need is gathered inside the special area devoted to internet courses. Here we use a course tool software called WebCT/Blackboard. This provides us with many facilities to enrich your life as a student of Nottingham University. WebCT/Blackboard is very easy to use and there is support within the software to help you, as well as a WebCT website help page and the support of your own tutor. This handbook aims to get you started as soon as possible, as well as being a quick reference for sources of information from the School.
