The is the website for the 'ELVI' project - which stands for 'Evaluation of a Large-scale VRE Implementation' - and was funded by JISC under their VRE1 Programme.
Here you will find a range of outputs arising from the Project's stated Activities and aligned with its Goals.
They can all be accessed via the left hand menu and include:
- A Quarterly project Diary citing some of the key developments during the two years the project will run (Feb '05 to Feb '07): 2005 - Q1 Q2 Q3 Q4 - 2006 - Q1 Q2 Q3 Q4 - 2007 - Q1
- A series of Newsletters highlighting particular issues that may be of interest . These include 'requirements capture methodology' and 'importance of the development process' through to 'issues of engagement'.
- Five reports (one per Faculty) - Arts, Social Sciences, Engineering, Sciences, Medical - detailing the Lifecycle coverage and all the requirements arising from the participants of the extensive Focus Group Consultation
- A practical Development Process which outlines our recommended approach to the establishment, development and maintenance of a VRE
- Information - including screenshots - about the Research Dashboard and its constituent channels which include Funding Opportunities, Project Costing, Electronic Submission, Project Finances, Publications Management and Research Activity
- Copies of the presentation slides made at various events during the project
The explicit aim of the project is for the work we do to be of real practical value to colleagues before, during or after VRE implementations of their own.
