Transportation Engineering Centre (NTEC) - part of
the Faculty of Engineering at the
University of Nottingham. We are the UK's foremost
University research centre focused on the materials and
objects that provide the central elements of all highways,
railways, docks and airports, and are well-known
throughout the world for our pavement research. Formerly
the Nottingham Centre for Pavement Engineering (with over
50 years of continuous pavement engineering research that
commenced in 1954) we changed our name to reflect a
broadening of activities into airfield, port and other
specialist pavements, railway track, performance and
asset management, risk analysis, sustainable construction,
environmental impact and transport systems. This web site will allow you to find out more about our current research, our teaching capabilities, our commercial services, our publications and our people.
