| Flexibility and the provision of uninterrupted trading space were key requirements in the design of the Lloyds of London Building. These are achieved by banishing all services (toilets, stairs, lifts, risers etc) to the outside of the building in the form of ‘service towers’, thus allowing for open office and dealer floors around an 84m high internal atrium. By expressing the buildings services, a visually stunning exterior is created, with steel clad staircases, glazed lifts and air-handling ducts all covering the building's envelope.
