Consensus Curriculum or Core Topics

This lists eight topic areas developed by the UK community of pharmacy law and ethics teachers in 2004.
The core curriculum will be used to supplement the indicative syllabus set by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain, the accrediting body for undergraduate pharmacy courses in Britain. The depth at which the topics may be covered is for individual teachers to decide; however, a guide is provided which may be of value to new teachers.

Further Topics

These topics are not currently considered to be core but elements are taught in some schools of pharmacy. All curricula are dynamic and these topics may assume more importance as the pharmacy profession develops its contribution to healthcare.
