23/08/2011 A new beta function has been added to allow users to change the default name of a gene. This works by swapping an alternative name for the current gene name. Users should note that this is a site wide change and so changes made in one network will affect other users who include the same gene. Therefore changes should only be made to improve legibility of networks. This isn't a suitable forum to discuss alternative nomenclatures for one gene!

01/04/2011 All non BETA functions should now function as expected (including Chilibot). Beta functions should still be viewed as unreliable!

01/04/2011 We have now resolved the BioTapestry export issues. Please note that this issue also affected the analysis of networks using mFinder. This has also now been resolved. However, none of the BETA functions have yet been processed to resolve this issue. Please email help@mygrn.org if you need any of these repaired urgently, otherwise we will work through them one by one.

31/03/2011 We now know why BioTapestry export is not functioning. However it may take up to 24 hours to resolve. We will update here regularly.

31/03/2011 We currently have a problem exporting BioTapestry files - we are looking into this immediately. Thanks for your patience.

22/02/2011 Please note that the database servers powering myGRN are currently undergoing maintenace. This should be complete by noon GMT.

21/02/2011 ***NEW*** - You can now export networks directly into BioTapestry for editing and printing. Please use the new BioTapestry option under the Network menu to the left. Please note that this option is not yet final and networks generated by it are subject to change. Please do get in touch if you notice any problems.

16/11/2010 ADD GENE bug fixed - over the last 7 days a bug has affected the ability to add genes to a network - this should now be fixed. If you notice any anomalies, please email help@myGRN.org

03/11/2010 NCBI interface problems: - Please note that there are some issues occurring between our servers and NCBI. We believe these are now largely fixed, but if you encounter any problems or unexpected behaviour, please email us at help@mygrn.org

31/08/2010 Some login issues are occuring. Please be patient whilst we try and rectify them.

13/05/2010 iHop curation issues should now be fixed. Please be aware that curation of iHop queries can take a long time to run - this is simply due to the number of entries in the database.

12/05/2010 We are currently addressing problems in the curate iHop section of the website. Please note that it is HIGHLY possible all uncurated interactions will be removed. To replace them, it will be necessary to re-crawl your networks. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

19/04/2010 Networks with over 1000 connections in other networks will not display this information correctly. Please bear with us whilst we try to fix these problems.

19/04/2010 Viewing interactions in other networks from the network explore page has been temporarily disabled due to system failure. We hope to re-enable this feature as soon as possible.

27/10/2009 Apologies, but we currently have a bug with data entry associated with Cell Lines. Please do not add any data for cell lines at this time. As soon as it is fixed, we will post here. Admin

23/09/2009 We have now fixed the log in problems some users have reported.

23/09/2009 We are aware of a problem where users cannot select the password box in the login form on Mac browsers. We are working to resolve this issue. In the mean time, if you encounter this problem, you can jump to the password box by pressing TAB.

10/08/2009 Fixed a bug in the interaction entry form where a journal name would fail to retrieve if the paper had previously been entered into myGRN.

18/06/2009 Fixed a bug that was preventing users from sharing a network with a new lab after the network had been created.

08/05/2009 Fixed a loophole in the Add Interaction forms that allowed published interactions to be entered with no paper information.

02/04/2009 Fixed two bugs in myGRN's Chilibot-based curation tool: - myGRN no longer fails to import the interaction details if only one sentence was discovered in a Chilibot search. - The number of genes in a Chilibot search with no links found is now reported correctly.

30/03/2009 Updated the Network:Explore function, which now runs much faster

11/03/2009 We are aware of an issue affecting the viewing of mFinder analysis results in Internet Explorer on PCs. This results in the motif diagrams failing to refresh correctly when a new motif type is selected. We are investigating this and will have a fix as soon as possible.

11/03/2009 Fixed bug affecting the viewing of mFinder results in Internet Explorer. These will now refresh correctly on selection of a new motif or gene.

06/03/2009 Fixed bug that allowed users to run mFinder analyses using filter parameters that returned less than the minimum number of networks. Filter parameters must now return at least 5 interactions for the analyse function to run.

19/02/2009 We are currently updating the myGRN manual to reflect the substantial changes to myGRN in recent months. The new documentation will be completed shortly.

01/10/2008 The web site has been dramatically overhauled today. We will be providing detailed help and information in the coming few days. In the meantime, if you have any problems then Contact Us.

01/10/2008 If you find a bug as a result of our latest update then please Report a Bug!

18/12/2007 The EDIT INTERACTION features have been enabled. Users can now edit most ofthe properties of interactiones that they have entered, including the timespan of the interaction, adding and removing locations and evidence, updating text fields containing user comments and removing interactions from networks.

07/12/2007 User registration is now open. New users need to be affiliated to a lab. They can either create a new lab, or join an existing lab by contacting the lab head and obtaining the lab password.

03/12/2007 The DRAW NETWORK function has now been updated to include the following features:
- Filtering interactions by genes and interaction evidence types

- Ability to expand on the selected genes by showing interactions with other connected genes not selected. Up to 3 layers of connectivity are selectable
- Network display can be limited to only direct or only indirect interactions
- A minimum score threshold can be applied to interactions
- Error-checking has been added to prevent users selecting a start time later than an end time

05/11/2007 Logging out now automatically re-directs the user to the front page

02/11/2007 Genes in myGRND are now linked to Entrez gene ids. The ADD GENE page now links directly to Entrez and pulls out the required information
