Astronomy Postgraduate Student Seminars

Postgraduate students in the Astronomy Unit are given the opportunity to make a presentation in front of other PhD students. This helps students practice for a talk they might be preparing and provides an example of the requirements of a talk to newer students. All students are required to attend the seminars in order gain experience in a seminar environment, as well as to provide encouragement for their fellow students.

Talks usually take place in the room 203 in the maths building and begin at 4pm after the Astronomy seminar on Fridays. After the seminar, at 5pm, we will go to the SCR Bar where refreshments will be provided for all participants.

If for any reason you want to give your talk on a different date please email me (a.christopherson at qmul.ac.uk) well in advance to enable another student enough time to prepare.
