Welcome to the official website for the SMALL ITN, a European Commission Framework 7 Marie Curie Initial Training Network. SMALL represents 'Surface for Molecular Recognition at the Atomic Level' and is focussed on training 22 PhD students across 11 different institutions in cutting edge nanoscience, chemistry, physics and theoretical methods. Nov 2011 Following on from the success of our 'Ethics in Science' and 'Concepts in Supramolecular Chemistry' Masterclasses in Baden-Baden in September, we will hold the 'Concepts of surface physics & chemistry' and 'Concepts of theoretical physics & chemistry' Masterclasses in Berlin from the 9th to 12th November, followed by the Mid-term review meeting.
