Past Seminars

The Condensed Matter and Nanoscience seminars are generally held on Wednesday afternoons. Undergraduates, postgraduates, postdoctoral research fellows, and all members of staff are invited to the seminars. For postgraduate researchers the seminar series is considered a very important component of your training programme and you're strongly advised to attend.

The Nanoscience Group has a weekly group meeting every Friday lunchtime between 13:00 and 14:00. This is usually held in C27 in the Mathematics and Physics building, but we also regularly (every month or six weeks) hold joint Nanoscience-Theory Group seminars which, due to the larger number of people attending, are held in B13 or C12. The currently scheduled list of speakers can be found here. Minutes of the weekly Nanoscience Group meetings can be found on the group's file server "nano".
