Biography

Dr. Poon obtained her BEng (Hons) degree and PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nottingham Malaysia. She is now an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mechanical, Materials and Manufacturing Engineering. Dr Poon has 10 years of research experience in chemical kinetics and combustion modeling, specializing in development of chemical kinetic models for transportation fuels. Her current research interests include fuel technology, combustion, internal combustion engines, and electric vehicles.
