Research Fellow, Faculty of Arts

I joined the School as Research Fellow in August 2019. Before that, I held teaching positions at the University of Birmingham and the University of Nottingham. My research lies in the field of literary geography and focuses in particular on twentieth-century and contemporary literary articulations of space and place. I am especially interested in formal negotiations of the built environment and am currently working on the literary and cultural history of bathroom spaces. I hold an AHRC-funded PhD in English (University of Nottingham), an AHRC-funded MA in Twentieth Century and Contemporary Literature (University of Nottingham), and a BA in English Studies (University of Nottingham). I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
