Biography

Merly is a research assistant and PhD student working on the NIHR funded Recovery Colleges Characterisation and Testing (RECOLLECT 2) research programme. Merly's first degree was a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from Bath Spa University. She has since obtained an MSc in Mental Health: Research and Practice from the University of Nottingham and has spent the past year and a half practicing as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner.

Expertise Summary

Merly started her PhD in October 2021 and plans to take a realist approach to exploring how goal planning works across Recovery Colleges and its associated outcomes for attending students. Her supervisors are Professor Mike Slade and Dr Fiona Ng.
