Who we are

We are researchers working at the interface of clinical practice and public health, in disciplines including epidemiology, statistics, economics, qualitative methods, clinical science and health policy.

What we do

From Professor Jo Leonardi-Bee, Head of Division:

Our aim is to deliver research that improves health and wellbeing by recruiting, developing and empowering gifted researchers working across the spectrum of public health; and by generating research which leads to positive changes in policy and practice across a range of clinical and public health research priority areas.

We teach public health and epidemiology on the undergraduate BMedSci course, deliver postgraduate taught courses via the Masters in Public Health (MPH) and MPH (Global Health) programmes, have a thriving PhD programme, and deliver a range of short courses in epidemiology and statistics, generating academic public health and epidemiology capacity for the future.



Our research spans a broad spectrum of clinical epidemiology and public health, and the design and development of health service delivery.
