Doctoral Researcher,
Chris is a Doctoral Researcher in the School of Politics and International Relations, and is affiliated with the Centre for British Politics , the Nottingham Interdisciplinary Centre for Economic and Political Research (NICEP) and the Research Centre for the Study of Parties and Democracy (REPRESENT).
He holds a Bsc. (Hons) in European Economics and Politics (Major in Economics) from the University of Birmingham and an M.A. in International Relations (Research Track) from the University of Nottingham. After completing his Master's Degree, Chris took a break from academia and spent over five years in Northern Canada, keeping busy as a firefighter and a curling instructor, amongst other things.
His main area of interest is British political history, elite vs. public opinion and electoral reform. Other interests include British and Canadian politics and comparisons thereof and also the history of economic thought.
