Public Engagement

The University of Nottingham is committed to providing structure, governance and support for public engagement at all levels. In April 2013 the University signed to the  Manifesto for Public Engagement created by the  National Co-ordinating Centre for Public Engagement (NCCPE).

The University is also committed to sustaining and improving the places and communities in which we are located.

 Past and current funding opportunities

Nottingham Catalyst

The Nottingham Catalyst programme was funded by  Research Councils UK (April 2012 to March 2015) and  linked research and public engagement across all faculties and schools at the University of Nottingham.

The priority of the programme was to access communities that do not traditionally or typically engage with Higher Education, including Third Sector organisations, Health Users and communities.
