This role invites Sociology and Social Policy alumni to share their unique career story since graduation with current students. Alumni speakers will have an opportunity to inspire current students by speaking briefly about why they chose the job they are currently working in, how they went about progressing their careers and what tips they can pass on to students thinking of following a similar path.

Get Connected (BAME) - Student speed networking

We're looking for local alumni and non-alumni who identify as BAME (Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic) to take part in our speed networking event where students move around the room and discover how people secured their professional roles, as well as their experience of the recruitment process. This event is aimed to help students increase their confidence in networking and consider career options. We're particularly interested in hearing from people working in accounting, finance, fintech, events management, human resources or management.

We are looking for enthusiastic Natural Sciences alumni to inspire current students at our annual 'Where are they now?' event. We'd love for you to share your career story and pass on your top career tips. This volunteer opportunity will provide students with an opportunity to identify how their career path could take shape. You will be asked to talk for 5-10 minutes about your personal experience of the world of work and then take part in an audience Q&A, followed by networking.
 

Education Enhancement Advocate

Location: Online
We are looking for enthusiastic recent alumni (2014 - 2017) to provide guidance and advice for upcoming curriculum development and education enhancement projects. You will join a group of volunteers in a virtual advisory group designed to advise on digital literacy skills. This project is ongoing with no set end date.
