Learn how to ‘Grow your investor appeal’ with alumnus Michael Skok (Production Engineering and Production Management, 1982) – one of the world’s leading entrepreneurs. Co-founding Partner at venture capital company Underscore VC and recent Entrepreneur in Residence at Harvard, Michael has spent the past two decades as a venture investor, with 21 years as an entrepreneur before that - creating thousands of jobs and billions of dollars of value.
Throughout his time as an investor, Michael’s heard thousands of startup pitches. During this interactive webinar, he’ll distil these experiences to provide outline actionable frameworks, address common misconceptions, and answer specific questions about early-stage fundraising, giving you tools and insights to strengthen your fundraising plans.
As an entrepreneur and an investor, starting his first business as a teenager, Michael has focused on breakthrough technologies and disruptive business models including Open Source, Cloud, IoT, and emerging domains such as Blockchain, Virtual/Augmented Reality, and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning. He has served on or is active on many private and public boards such as Acquia, Demandware, Mautic and Salsify. He has also participated in leadership roles in many industry groups such as the Software Publishers Association, where he was Chairman for many years in Europe.
In 2015, Michael co-founded Underscore VC first and foremost to empower entrepreneurs to realize their vision in building impactful businesses. He has a passion for helping the next generation of entrepreneurs succeed by not only investing but bringing the resources, talent, and commitment of an aligned community around them to assure their success.
