2020 turned out to be a year like no other, with none of us able to have imagined the challenges that we would face. How we deal with the challenges that life throws our way can have a huge impact on how we live our lives in the future. While we can't predict what lies ahead, we can ensure you have the tools you need to overcome challenges and succeed. Join alumnus Max Thorpe as he shares lessons he learned the hard way and his journey exploring and building resilience.
Our speakerMax graduated from the University in 2016 with a degree in Politics. In December 2017, Max was hit by a devastating rogue wave in a race to row across the Atlantic Ocean. What followed is a battle to survive widely regarded as one of the most perilous sequence of events in ocean racing history. But, just two years later, Max returned to win the race and set a new World Record. Max is now founder and managing director of Rogue Wave Scenarios, a resilience consultancy enabling individuals, teams and organisations to navigate radical uncertainty.
