Authors Carole Spary (University of Nottingham) and Shirin Rai (University of Warwick) launched their new book Performing Representation: Women Members in the Indian Parliament at the India International Centre.

Keynote speakers included the current President of the All India Women’s Democratic Association and former MP, Subhashini Ali, the Joint Secretary for the Parliament of India, Delhi Ravidra Garimella, the Centre for Social Research Delhi, the President of the Public Policy and Legislative NGO PRS Legislative Research and Jawaharlal Nehru University.

The event was funded by the University of Nottingham ESRC Impact Accelerator Project.
