Welcome

To the Nottingham Astronomy group website

The group is part of the School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Nottingham, England. Also involved in astronomical research at the University are the Astronomy and Astrophysical Chemistry Group and the Particle Theory Group.

Our research runs the gamut of cosmology and extragalactic astrophysics, from the structure of the Universe to studies of distant and nearby galaxies, and benefits from the interplay of observations, theory, and computation.
