Dr Ali Saeidan obtained his PhD in Biosystem engineering from the Ferdowsi University of Mashhad/Iran. During PhD, His research was focused on assessing physical and chemical compounds in cocoa beans by non-destructive methods including NIR, HIS, chemometrics and machine learning. He has joined Food science department as a postdoctoral research fellow working on the BBSRC project "Ultrarapid real-time diagnostic tool of plant disease infection adapted for field deployment".
Hyperspectral imaging and near infrared spectroscopy.
