Sensory Science Manager, Faculty of Science
Dr. Martha Skinner is the Sensory Science Centre Manager at the University of Nottingham. She obtained a BSc in Human Nutrition at Bath Spa University, before completing a multi-disciplinary PhD at the University of Nottingham in 2017. Before being appointed into her current role, Martha completed a short Post-Doctoral Research position at Nottingham. Her research has combined sensory science and brain imaging techniques to investigate individual variation in oral perception across taste phenotype and genotype.
Martha is an active member of the Institute of Food Science and Technology (IFST) Sensory Science Group, and the European Sensory Science Society (E3S) where she has focused on establishing both the UK and European groups aimed at students and early career researchers.
