Carolyn Isaaks is an experienced lecturer in Accountancy, Assurance, Governance and Taxation. After an initial career in an international firm of chartered accountants in London, she moved into training and education with the firm and then into the Higher Education sector.

Having directed a variety of undergraduate programmes her specialism is programmes with a significant in-company element, such as the current Nottingham University Business School programme: BSc Accountancy where students have regular placement periods UK-wide with PricewaterhouseCoopers whilst gaining their degree and progressing through an accelerated route to qualification as a chartered accountant.

In addition to teaching she has kept her practical experience up to date by acting as a non-executive board member and audit committee member for Nottingham Community Housing Association.

Carolyn's post at NUBS is teaching focused but this requires continuous research into Business, Financial Reporting and Taxation developments to support her teaching.
