Previously, Dom founded The Transition Institute with the UK Government Cabinet Office to examine radical public service transformation – becoming the youngest person to have ever founded an organisation given Institute status by the Secretary of State

Dom co-founded and was CEO of Internocracy, a millennial talent movement that spawned several successful spin-off businesses and shaped the development of UK Government policy on social mobility, the development of the world's first formal paid internship scheme in a Parliament.

Dom has been an advisor to successive governments from 2009 onwards around issues of social mobility. Dom was a co-founder and CEO of Solve, a 4 million demonstrator impact investment fund and start-up accelerator aimed at investing in entrepreneurs from a wide variety of backgrounds seeking to tackle some of the most entrenched problems in society. The accelerators set new benchmarks for the kind of participant that could take part in an accelerator, regardless of age, ethnicity, gender, education level or economic status. Dom also led the development of a new, pioneering model for investment, 'elastic capital', that was stretched over a long time and flexible around the performance of the emerging businesses. Dom was appointed as IKEA's first ever Entrepreneur in Residence and Lead Mentor on IKEA's inaugural accelerator programme IKEA Bootcamp.
