Except when I was in tertiary education I was an accountant in practice between 1975 and 1993 and also in 1999 & 2000. Since 1993 I have working in the field of tax technical training, consultancy and law.

Current Research Activities
My research interest is in tax history. Currently my special research interest is in:

1. National insurance and its interrelationship with social welfare
2. UK death taxes and the link with land law and inheritance.
