CHILL  - Centre for Health Innovation, Leadership and Learning

Our work has international recognition thanks to the partnerships we have with organisations and individuals all over the world.

We value our international links because learning from healthcare systems across the world helps us better understand the NHS.

Many healthcare issues are common to all providers and it’s important that we share knowledge with international colleagues to address problems and provide solutions which benefit the UK NHS.

Examples of international collaborations include:

  • conferences and journal papers with the Centre for Healthcare Organizational Transformation (CHOT) in Texas and the University of California, Berkeley (USA)
  • joint research projects and publications with the University of Sao Paulo and the Federal University of Sao Carlos in Brazil
  • working with the Centre for Evidence-Based Healthcare at the University of Nottingham, Ningbo, China

  • research projects with the Ateneo Center for Health Evidence, Action, and Leadership (A-HEALS), and the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health in The Philippines
  • sharing research papers with colleagues in India and Japan
  • PhD students' visit to the department of emergency medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine - Jacksonville, observing Bob Wears who was one of the country’s leading experts in patient safety
