Have you ever wanted to be a world-leading expert?
We are interested in outstanding, ambitious PhD candidates from a variety of backgrounds in the social sciences, humanities, engineering and mathematics.
You don't need to have studied business to join our PhD programme, but you do need to be committed to research and have a thirst for knowledge.
A research degree at Nottingham University Business School gives you the opportunity to explore a topic that fascinates you, produce an original contribution, and become an expert in the field.
A PhD will develop your skills in planning, research, resilience and collaboration and can launch you into a successful career in academia, commerce, industry, the public sector, or as an entrepreneur. Many of our graduates now work in top research universities, major multinational global corporations, or run their own businesses.
The Nottingham PhD programme is an opportunity to collaborate, learn and study in a vibrant and supportive academic community.
The latest Research Excellence Framework (REF) ranked Nottingham 6th among UK business schools for research power.
