Giorgio Caramanna speaks on the use of diving as a scientific tool

Giorgio Caramanna has been invited to be keynote speaker at the workshop Strengthening synergy and excellence in diving supported science across Europe”.

The workshop is to take place in Brussels on the 27th and 28th September this year and has been organised by the Marine Board-European Science Foundation Secretariat and the European Scientific Diving Panel.

Giorgio will talk about his Scientific Diving experiences in Italy (he is a member of the board of directors of the Italian Association of Scientific Divers), and will also discuss his new research on CO2 monitoring at the Centre for Innovation in Carbon Capture and Storage (CICCS) where he is continuing to utilise his diving as a scientific tool, particularly in the monitoring of of offshore CO2 leakage from Carbon Geological Storage sites.
