Student Poster Competition
This years CICCS Annual Conference: Innovations for a cleaner future, also hosted the first CICCS Postgraduate Student Poster Competition.
Poster competition at our one day event
All of the competition entries were of an extremely high standard, making it extremely difficult for the judges to choose this years winners!
We are pleased to announce the winner was our very own Yang Wei with her poster: Environmental Consequences of Leaks of Impure CO2 in Soil. Yang Wei was awarded her first prize at the end of the conference by Dr Jeff Chapman from CCSA and Prof. Hai Sui, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering.
Runners up prizes were awarded to:
- Marco Dri (University of Nottingham) for his poster: Use of Agro-char from Anaerobic Digestion Residue as a Means of Carbon Sequestration in Soils
- Qi Liu (University of Nottingham) for: Investigation of pH and Chemical Effect of Host Rock or Buffer Solution on Carbon Sequestration in Brine
- Suzanne Alsamaq (University of Birmingham) for her poster: C-cycle Capture and Activation of Carbon Dioxide Preparation and Utilization of Hydrotalcites for CO2 Adsorption and Methane Dry Reforming.
