The Catholic Community is one of the largest religious communities at the University. The community is comprised of the Student’s Union affiliated Catholic Society and the University Catholic Chaplaincy. Its purpose is to gather together students to share their faith experiences and who are interested in learning more about the Catholic faith. You don’t have to be Catholic to join in; we welcome people of all faiths or none and offer friendship, support and hospitality to all.
Every Sunday of the year at 11.00am in the Trent Building Great Hall.
Weekday Mass is celebrated during term time on Tuesdays at 5.00pm in the Portland Chapel and Fridays at 12.15pm in the Open Room, Amenities Building, Jubilee Campus. There is also a monthly Mass at the Sutton Bonington Campus - please contact us for details.

Several times a year we go away on retreat. We always visit Ampleforth Abbey in the second semester and other venues vary.
Every fortnight we have a talk or Small Group meeting in which we can explore an aspect of the Catholic faith.
Every other week in term time we meet on a Tuesday at 7.30pm for a social. We also have large one off events each semester including formal balls and Irish dances.
