Debbie has been working for the Chaplaincy team since September 2013 and is the first person you'll see as you come into our offices. She loves the daily interaction with students and staff and is always happy to be distracted for a chat or a request for help as you pass her desk! Debbie is a graduate of Nottingham Trent University in European Business and after a few years working in France, eventually settled back in Nottingham working in recruitment. After a career break to raise her 3 children, she returned to part time work as an administrator for the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham. This role led her to our Chaplaincy where she provides admin support to our multi faith team of chaplains and assistants. Debbie worships at her local Anglican parish church and is passionate about putting her faith into action by serving those around her. She volunteered for many years at the Friary, a centre for the homeless and vulnerable and more recently has trained to be a Nottingham Street Pastor caring for, listening to and supporting people enjoying the city centre on a Saturday night. She tries to keep fit by cycling to work in all weathers and attempts a 10k run every now and then. She loves going to concerts and the theatre and has dabbled in amateur operatics, now getting the chance to sing in front of her church as part of the worship band. We are often singing in the Chaplaincy!
